Please pardon this interruption

A family wedding in the Midwest
beckons, as does my first real vacation since
starting this site 13 months ago. So unclebarky.com
will be going dark, so to speak, from Saturday, Oct.
13th through most of Tuesday, Oct. 23rd. I've done my
very best to leave lots behind, though. You can read
a review of Drew Carey's first day on The
Price Is Right. There also are first looks at
Monday's Samantha Who? on ABC and
Thursday's sneak preview of Viva Laughlin on CBS.
You also might want to laugh along -- or not -- with Belo8's 10 p.m. news anchors. My son, Sam, has an account of his spur-of-the-moment trip to Marfa to see a free Sonic Youth concert. And he's got pictures to prove it. Also, on Back Channels, relive the last extended interview with one of D-FW's most popular news anchors, Chip Moody.
Feel free to browse elsewhere, too. I hope you'll continue to drop in, just to keep traffic up. Show Uncle Barky some love, and like a puppy he'll reciprocate tenfold. And remember to make your Amazon.com and other purchases by clicking through unclebarky.com's handy links. Every little bit helps, as you know. So thanks, you've been a great audience, and I'll be back in plenty of time for the November "sweeps." Until then, all play, no work.
