Long before Bad Santa, Paul Lynde played a caustic Claus on a Donny and Marie Osmond Christmas special. The two stars appear as whiny kid versions of themselves sitting on Santa’s lap. Lynde milks the sketch as best he can, which is always pretty good. As schlock goes, this one’s way off the charts.
