Your bod had best be good

By ED BARK
Two new TV shows will be looking for well-appointed North Texans this month.

First in town, on Sept. 14-15, is Bravo's Make Me a Supermodel. Casters will be at the Renaissance Dallas Hotel from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on both days. Only female applicants are requested on the first day, with male call following on Sept. 15th.

Adapted from a hit United Kingdom series -- what reality show isn't? -- Make Me a Supermodel offers a $100,000 prize and a budding modeling career to the winner. Those selected will live in a New York City loft, where for 12 weeks they'll "explore friendships, romance and naked ambition while undergoing a series of creative challenges designed to test their professional potential."

Any resemblances to America's Next Top Model are, of course, coincidental. You can get an application form here.

Those who don't make the cut can take another shot when reps of NBC Universal's new version of American Gladiators drop in on Sept. 22nd. They'll be headquartered from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Arlington Courts, 2500 E. Mayfield Rd. in Arlington.

Applicants are required to wear "workout attire" and be ready to get physical in tests of strength, speed, balance and agility.

You must be at least 18 to be eligible for either show.
