Stretch run of Nov. "sweeps": Fox4/WFAA8 in 25-to-54 drivers' seats while total viewer races remain tight

By ED BARK
The November "sweeps" ratings races are nearing a close, with 15 of the 20 weekdays in the books.

Clear-cut winners have emerged in the four major battles for 25-to-54-year-olds, the main advertiser target audience for news programming in the D-FW viewing area and everywhere else.

Fox4 has comfortable leads at 6 a.m. and 5 and 6 p.m. while WFAA8 is solidly atop the 10 p.m. competition. In total viewers, though, nothing is quite decided for certain yet.

Here are the Nielsen numbers in both audience measurements, with the sweeps ending next week on Thanksgiving eve. (Note: the numbers currently available to unclebarky.com are rounded off to the nearest one-tenth of a point; further numbers crunching may be needed to eventually declare winners in exceedingly close races.)
