Refresher course: WFAA8's 50th anniversary (marked in 1999) was promo-licious

Whatever shapes it takes in the
future, WFAA8 is likely to be mostly spot-on with its
promotional spots.
Year in, year out, the Dallas-based station has shown a knack for selling itself in promos that generally hold up years and decades later.
The four-minute video below is a compilation of commercials from 1999, the year when WFAA8 turned 50. You'll get vintage looks at the likes of Jerry Haynes, Verne Lundquist, Byron Harris and Ron Chapman in vignettes introduced by John McCaa, Gloria Campos, and Dale Hansen (all still with the station) and Troy Dungan and Scott Sams (who are not).
Each little time travel is well-crafted and still perfectly watchable. Spend a few minutes with them. You'll see.
