Hansen style: WFAA8 sports anchor leaves ESPN radio show
07/28/09 10:43 AM
The D-FW market's best sports
reporter/columnist, Richie Whitt of The Dallas
Observer, reports that WFAA8 anchor Dale
Hansen has quit his Hour of Hansen ESPN
radio show (103.3 FM), which ran from 6 to 7 p.m.
weekdays.
He supposedly had a final falling out with management over ESPN's initial ban on covering the sexual assault charges filed against Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger.
But Whitt also reports that Hansen was working without a contract for the past six months. He'll remain at Dallas-based WFAA8, where as previously reported on unclebarky.com, Hansen has a long-term deal that will take him to 2013 and age 65.
