It's still too early for heavy-duty holiday pageantry. But December eve nonetheless brought a gaggle of traditional Christmas specials, all of them pitted against one another in the 7 to 8 p.m. hour. Let's break it down in both total D-FW viewers and advertiser-coveted 18-to-49-year-olds, with a new episode of Fox's Glee also in the mix.

Christmas in Rockefeller Center (NBC) -- 214,697
Shrek the Halls (ABC/7:30 p.m.) -- 186,994

At 9 p.m., CBS' annual holiday expose, The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, easily undressed the competition in both ratings measurements. Victoria's had 290,879 total viewers in romping past the second hour of NBC's runner-up The Biggest Loser (214,697). And among 18-to-49-year-olds, Victoria's bested Loser by a score of 141,496 to 98,718.
None of the above could top CBS' NCIS repeat, which rolled in the 8 p.m. hour with 436,319 total viewers to rank as Tuesday's No. 1 overall draw. It also won its time slot with 18-to-49-year-olds, with the first hour of Loser a close second.
In local news derby results, CBS11 swept the 10 p.m. Nielsens in total viewers and 25-to-54-year-olds, the main advertiser target audience for news programming on most stations.
The 6 a.m. golds were split between NBC5 in total viewers and Fox4 in the 25-to-54 demographic.
Another split decision at 6 p.m. put CBS11 on top in total viewers and Fox4 in first with 25-to-54-year-olds. WFAA8 ran the table over its rivals at 5 p.m.
