Local Nielsen ratings snapshot (Wed., Dec. 22) -- happy holidays for Fox/Fox4

New programming on Fox fared well in prime-time Wednesday while Fox4's local newscasts also celebrated.
The network's first-run Human Target had prime-time's biggest haul of D-FW viewers (207,771) before a following hour of the new Million Dollar Money Drop ran a close second at 8 p.m. to CBS' Criminal Minds repeat. Fox4's 9 p.m. newscast then won the 9 p.m. hour.
Among advertiser-courted 18-to-49-year-olds, Target and Fox4 news both topped their time slots while Money Drop lost to ABC's Modern Family from 8 to 8:30 p.m. before winning the second half-hour.
CBS' annual A Home for the Holidays special, which highlights adoption possibilities, finished third overall at 7 p.m., beating NBC's new hour of Undercovers, which is burning off its remaining episodes before being canceled.
In local news derby results, Fox4 ran the table among 25-to-54-year-olds (main advertiser target audience for news programming) by winning at 6 a.m. and at 5, 6 and 10 p.m.
WFAA8 had the most total viewers at 10 p.m., and also Wednesday's biggest overall audience (228,548). Fox4 won at 6 a.m. in total viewers while WFAA8 and CBS11 respectively rang up firsts at 5 and 6 p.m.
