The May "sweeps" hit the halfway mark Wednesday, with a three-way early morning race still the hottest.
CBS11 and NBC5 continue to battle for second place at 10 p.m. in the total homes Nielsens while the Peacock surprisingly still has a fighting chance to catch WFAA8 at 5 p.m. among 25-to-54-year-old viewers. WFAA8 continues to cruise at 6 p.m. in both ratings measurements. Here are the relevant 10-day breakdowns in those races that remain tight:

WFAA8 swept the 5, 6 and 10 p.m. local news competitions in total homes and with 25-to-54-year-olds, the main advertiser target audience for news programming.
Fox4 notched a win at 6 a.m. in total homes, but WFAA8 ran first in the 25-to-54 derby, with Fox4 drooping to third behind NBC5.
