Peabody worthy: Desmond Tutu chats amiably with Craig Ferguson.

By ED BARK
Two first-year comedies -- ABC's Modern Family/Fox's Glee -- and CBS' longrunning Late Show with Craig Ferguson are among the big winners of prestigious George Foster Peabody Awards.

Also making the grade are HBO's In Treatment and No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, and the SesameStreet.org website.

Ferguson was honored for his March 4, 2009 interview with Archbishop Desmond Tutu, his only guest that night.

Perennial winner 60 Minutes will receive two more Peabodies, both for reports by correspondent Steve Kroft.

The 69th annual Peabody awards presentation is on May 17th, with ABC News' Diane Sawyer hosting a luncheon at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City.
