Dallas-based WFAA8 has hired Brian Glenn from Beaumont’s KBTV-TV to report during the morning shift and also contribute to the station’s new 4 p.m. newscast, scheduled for this fall.
Glenn has been co-hosting the Fox affiliate’s Southeast Texas Live, which airs from 4 to 5 p.m. weekdays. His KBTV bio (several grammatical and typographical errors are cleaned up for these spaces) says he “brings a unique angle to television. Coming from a marketing and advertising background, Brian has reinvented how businesses and products are promoted in a lifestyle magazine television format.”
Glenn is quoted as saying, “The show is designed to be fun and entertaining . . . period. We do more segments and have more guests in one day than most shows have in a week. We are always striving to make the show different and being first in the market on various segments.”
KBTV says that Glenn “has lived all over the country, residing in Orange County, CA, the Outer Banks of North Carolina and Vero Beach, FL.” He’s married with three children and his favorite color is pink, the station says.
Glenn is scheduled to start at WFAA8 in mid-August.
