The gift that keeps on giving, NCIS, led CBS to a prime-time sweep Tuesday in the total viewers Nielsens.

Now in its 878th season (oh, but we kid), NCIS led off with 349,013 D-FW viewers before Bull (276,302 viewers) and NCIS: New Orleans (254,489) also won their time slots.

As usual, advertiser-prized 18-to-49-year-olds went elsewhere. The respective winners in this key demographic were NBC’s The Voice (64,142), Fox’s Prison Break (35,278) and Fox4’s 9 p.m. local newscast (60,935).

ABC languished all night with 18-to-49-year-olds, finishing last across the board in the Big Four broadcast network universe with a lineup of The Middle, American Housewife, Fresh Off the Boat, Imaginary Mary and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..

Here are Tuesday’s local news derby results for the fourth weekday of the May “sweeps” ratings period.

Lead-ins are still the momma’s milk of late night local newscasts, which CBS11 proved anew by winning for the second straight night at 10 p.m. in total viewers after a nice boost from NCIS: New Orleans. Fox4 and NBC5 tied for the top spot among 25-to-54-year-olds (main advertiser target audience for news programming).

Fox4 swept the 6 a.m. competitions while NBC5 and TEGNA8 remained in a tight battle in the early going for second place in both ratings measurements.

NBC5 stayed strong at 5 p.m. with twin wins and also ran first at 6 p.m. with 25-to-54-year-olds. The Peacock and TEGNA8 tied for the total viewers lead at 6 p.m.
