The NFL had its way Thursday, with the frigid weather Kansas City Chiefs-Oakland Raiders game dominating the prime-time landscape.
NBC’s Thursday Night Football averaged 392,639 D-FW viewers, with the NFL Network’s simulcast tacking on an additional 109,067.
In the advertiser-coveted 18-to-49-year-old demographic, Chiefs-Raiders had 153,941 viewers on NBC and another 41,692 on the NFL Net.
The next closest TV attraction in total viewers, CBS’ 7 p.m. repeat of The Big Bang Theory, weighed in with 225,404. CBS’ new 8:30 p.m. episode of Life In Pieces ranked second among 18-to-49-year-olds with 51,314.
Here are Thursday’s local news derby results.
TEGNA8 swept a downsized 10 p.m. race in both total viewers and 25-to-54-year-olds (main advertiser target audience for news programming). NBC5’s late nighter was pushed out of the mix by football.
Fox4 had twin wins at 6 a.m. and NBC5 continued to flex at 5 and 6 p.m. with its sixth consecutive weekday sweeps in the two key ratings measurements.
