The Miami Heat's trophy-clinching rout of OKC, turning them into Okies for much of the night, gave ABC what probably will be its last ratings treasure trove of the summer.
Thursday's Game 5, which ended at 10:47 p.m., averaged 460,639 D-FW viewers despite its one-sided tilt. That exceeded Game 4's numbers (392,898) while falling a bit short of Game 3's (480,961).
ABC also cashed in with advertiser-prized 18-to-49-year-olds, drawing 220,959 of them. That again outdrew Game 4 (201,745) but came up shy of Game 3 (246,577).
CBS' 7 p.m. rerun of The Big Bang Theory finished a distant runner-up in both ratings measurements Thursday night, with 223,545 total viewers and 76,855 in the 18-to-49 age range.
Here are Thursday's local news derby results: CBS11 ran first in total viewers in a downsized three-way competition while NBC5 won among 25-to-54-year-olds, the main advertiser target audience for news programming.
Fox4 ran the table at 6 a.m. and WFAA8 had all happy returns at 5 and 6 p.m. with doubleheader sweeps at both hours.
