Gannett8 tabs Wes Houx as new weekend morn meteorologist

Dallas-based Gannett8 has quickly found a successor to weekend morning meteorologist Julie Bologna.
He’s Wes Houx, who arrives from Gannett-owned NBC affiliate KCEN-TV, which serves the Temple/Waco area. Houx’s first day was Saturday, May 2nd, Gannett8 news director Carolyn Mungo confirms.
The Ohio native joined KCEN in fall 2013 after starting his TV career at WLIO-TV in Lima, Ohio.
As previously posted, Bologna left Gannett8 in mid-April after a three-year stay, saying she wanted to devote more time to her real estate business and family.
