Gifted with a bounteous lead-in from the latest season finale of America’s Got Talent, NBC’s double-shot sneak preview of I Feel Bad proved to be something of a ratings headache Wednesday night.
AGT, with magician Shin Lim voted the winner, led prime-time in total D-FW viewers with 313,372. The first episode of I Feel Bad then fell to 121,076 total viewers before the second slipped further to 85,465.
Fox4’s 9 p.m. local newscast handily won the hour with 170,930 viewers, with I Feel Bad placing second opposite reruns of Shark Tank on ABC and Criminal Minds on CBS.
Among advertiser-prized 18-to-49-year-olds, CBS’ 7 p.m. episode of Big Brother nipped the first half-hour of AGT by a score of 68,653 viewers to 65,533. AGT then won the 8 to 9 p.m. slot with 71,774 viewers.
At 9 p.m., the first half of Fox4’s news took the top spot with 46,809 viewers in the 18-to-49 realm while I Feel Bad had 40,568. From 9:30 to 10 p.m., I Feel Bad ranked first with 40,568 viewers ahead of 35,887 for Fox4’s news.
Here are Wednesday’s four-way local news derby results.
NBC5 had a highly prosperous day, sweeping the 5, 6 and 10 p.m. ratings in both total viewers and among 25-to-54-year-olds (main advertiser target audience for news programming). The 10 p.m. win in total viewers was by a hair over TEGNA8.
Fox4 as usual/always won in landslides at 6 a.m., where it hasn’t lost a single weekday in either ratings measurement since Good Friday.
