Jeff Kolb is the newest addition to Fox4’s sports staff, the Dallas-based station announced Monday.
The Emerson College graduate replaces Edward Egros, who recently left to pursue a full-time career in sports analytics.
“Jeff’s love of storytelling, production experience and deep understanding of sports make him a great addition to our team,” Fox4 Vice President and News Director Robin Whitmeyer said in a publicity release.
Kolb, who joins the station on May 28th, will be arriving from Fox affiliate KOKI-TV in Tulsa, OK, where he was a multi-tasking sports anchor, reporter, photographer and producer. He also has worked at WJAR-TV in Providence, Rhode Island and WBKB-TV in Alpena, Michigan.
Earlier this year, Fox4 hired Samantha Gannon to join longtime incumbent sports anchor Mike Doocy on the station’s late night Free 4 All sports show. Kolb also will contribute to that program, Whitmeyer said.
