The site is finally set for Dallas auditions for Fox's The X Factor.

It's the Dallas Convention Center, where "undiscovered talent" 12 years of age and older can begin registering at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25th for the following day's May 26th auditions. Both solo artists and groups are eligible. And finalists from Dallas will audition before an audience of thousands in addition to the show's judges, Fox says.

Dallas will be the last of six cities to host X Factor auditions, which are scheduled to begin in Los Angeles on March 27th and continue through Miami, Newark, Seattle and Chicago. Audition sites and dates for those cities were previously announced, but Dallas had been waiting on a venue.

X Factor, which premieres this fall, is produced by former American Idol judge Simon Cowell, who also will serve in that capacity on his new show. The other judges haven't been named yet. A $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music will be the grand prize.
