The May “upfronts” are in high gear, with broadcast networks touting their new seasons while Madison Avenue advertisers gather to drink it all in -- literally.

Reviewing HBO's extraordinary Chernobyl miniseries

The saga of a nuclear power plant disaster in the Soviet Union, spread out over five episodes, may not be enticing to many. But HBO’s Chernobyl is brilliantly done and well worth your time, either on a weekly basis or as a binge when it’s run its course. Our review is here.
