TEGNA8 news staffers weren’t exactly overjoyed to get a Christmas Eve message from management that had nothing to do with the spirit of the season. Instead, news director Carolyn Mungo ordered everyone to bone up on the Dallas Cowboys during the holidays. “Consider this like preparing for an election,” she said. CBS’ partnership with the Kennedy Center Honors dates to their inception back in 1978. Since then, the network has never missed one, and its latest agreement runs through 2025.
