Read the book? If so, HBO's version of The Leftovers seems destined to disappoint

HBO’s heavily promoted The Leftovers premieres on Sunday, June 29th as a weekly series that could go any number of seasons. But I made a “mistake” by just finishing the superb book from which it’s adapted. And in comparison . . . our review is here.

Wednesday’s D-FW Nielsen ratings also are posted, with numbers on the return of CBS’ Big Brother and the premiere of NBC’s Taxi Brooklyn.
