D-FW stations split on what to lead with -- Barbara Bush's death or the Southwest Airlines tragedy

Tuesday’s 10 p.m. D-FW newscasts reflected different approaches to handling two major local stories -- the death of Barbara Bush and a Southwest Airlines in-flight tragedy that left one person dead.

Fox4 and CBS11 led with Mrs. Bush’s passing while NBC5 and TEGNA8 topped their newscasts with the Southwest Airlines incident. How did they come to these decisions? Some answers, and the usual non-response from TEGNA8, are on our Dallas-Fort Worth TV page.
